Day 2 of our ride was a short 27km, into Jarrahdale. Staying in luxury tonight, a B&B with real beds and a hot shower! The hut last night was fine, but sleeping on a mat, in a sleeping bag, on a hard wooden platform doesn’t compare to a bed! Today’s ride was lovely: all through the forests, with a long sections of easy single track. Really pretty, with lots of grass trees, the sounds of noisy birds, and a flashes of bright green as parrots fly past. Saw black cockatoos today. The people we’ve met, including a couple of ex South Africans, have been very friendly, and very interested in our journeys.
