It was raining, but we set out on a hike anyway. We reached the snowline, and the rain turned to snow, turning the mountains and the forest into a snow-covered wonderland! Very very pretty. We hiked to the first viewpoint (where the view was none at all!), and then turned back and wandered back through the forest with the snow falling on us. Other intrepid hikers would greet us with a ‘Merry Christmas’ – all very nice. Back to town for hot chocolate and a bowl of hot soup. My Christmas in the snow (also something on my bucket list) has happened!
